Transformers contain primary and secondary windings encapsulated in epoxy compound. This compound forms the transformer's casing and provides protection against mechanical damage and moisture penetration to its internal components. The compound casting is enclosed in an aluminum housing, which is grounded. The case is made with touch-safe design.

Metal-clad indoor combi-transformer type KGBEA with inductive single-pole voltage and current transformer section, touch-proof design. The indoor combi-transformers are fully encapsulated in brown epoxy resin. The transformer is completely enclosed in a grounded metal housing.
